Speech@Emerson is designed by the same exceptional faculty who teach in the on-campus program. The online program can prepare you for practice in speech pathology, audiology, and occupational therapy settings. You will graduate as a generalist, with the ability to work with people of various ages who live with a range of challenges, such as autism, swallowing disorders, and aphasia.
Employment for speech-language pathologists is projected to grow 18 percent from 2023 to 2033, much faster than the average for all occupations.3
As life expectancy increases, early intervention for children with speech, language, and cognitive disorders is becoming more prevalent. This means more speech-language pathologists are needed to make an immediate impact on those struggling to communicate. Take the next step in your career and deliver essential care as a speech-language pathologist to diverse clients in your community.
